Dear Shaw students,

We are going to hold a fascinating journey of exploration to deepen your understanding of the development dynamics of the modern intelligent technology industry, and to explore unique innovations and human environments. The tour will take us to XPENG Motors in Guangzhou where we will experience the cutting-edge intelligent manufacturing process of new energy vehicles and witness the charm of automotive technology. Additionally, we will explore the production base of BlueMoon (Guangzhou) to gain insights into the innovation and development of consumer products.

Through visits to these industry leaders, we hope to provide inspiring glimpses into technology innovation in action. Interact with experts and see how ideas are brought to life!

XPENG Motors

Founded in 2015, XPENG Motors is a leading designer and manufacturer of smart electric vehicles in China. Their lineup includes popular models such as X9, G6, G9, P7i, and P5. With over 13,000 global employees, approximately 40% are dedicated to research and development. BlueMoon

Founded in 1992, BlueMoon is a professional provider of household cleaning solutions in China. At present, it has established a diversified product portfolio covering three categories: clothing cleaning care, personal cleaning care and household cleaning care. These products help consumers solve household cleaning challenges easily and achieve worry-free cleanliness.

Target participants: This event is open to students of Shaw College only. 

Dress code: Please don’t wear skirts, shorts, high heels, slippers or sandals.

• 7:30 Gather at the open space in front of Tower D, Shaw College
• 10:10 - 11:40 Visit XPENG Motors (Guangzhou)
• 12:00 - 13:30 Lunch
• 14:25 - 17:40 Visit BlueMoon Washing Research & Teaching Center
• 17:40 Gather and return to campus

*This activity fulfills the regular social practice requirement for CEC1020.
