It has been two weeks since the start of your university journey, and we hope you are gradually adapting to this new chapter of your life. We have seen you bustling around the bus stop in the early morning and the library at night. Are you brimming with enthusiasm and ready to forge ahead?
Shaw College is honored to invite Dr. YU Xiaoming, an advisor at the Student Health Counseling Center, to host a sharing session on university life. During this session, Dr. Yu will offer valuable insights on maintaining mental well-being amidst a busy study schedule, optimizing study strategies, and effectively utilizing the abundant resources available at our university. The ultimate goal is to help students broaden their horizons and successfully complete their academic pursuits. We sincerely invite all freshmen to join us for this engaging session.

About the Speaker:
Dr. YU Xiaoming has extensive experience in student affairs and research in comparative education and comparative student affairs. He completed his undergraduate studies in Shanghai and pursued further studies in the United States and United Kingdom, obtaining both a master's and a doctoral degree. With an educational background spanning China, the United Kingdom, and the United States, as well as considerable experience working at overseas universities, Dr. Yu possesses a broad international perspective and a wealth of professional experience.
Dr. Yu has held various leadership positions, including Deputy Director of Student Affairs at the University of Virginia, Director of Student Affairs at the University of Macau, and Master of the Cheong Kun Lun College at the University of Macau. In 2018, he joined The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, where he served as the Director of Office of the Student Affairs and the Director of the Student Health and Counselling Centre.
