To mark the arrival of the Chinese New Year, Shaw College arranged a series of festive activities during the Spring Festival. Students and staff who remained at Shaw gathered to welcome the Year of the Snake together.

Between late 2024 and early 2025, members of the Shaw Awakened Youth carried out four social research projects, venturing into diverse communities to gain a firsthand understanding of societal dynamics.

On the evening of January 17th, 2025, the East Block Plaza of Shaw College resonated with anticipation as the Shaw Stage "New Year's Melody of Hope" Mini-Concert started. The event kicked off with electrifying guitar riffs, igniting the audience's enthusiasm for an evening filled with musical passion.

Shaw College hosted a Chinese Uyghur-themed New Year celebration on the evening of January 10th. The event was graced by Professor Cong Wang, the Associate Vice President and the Master of Shaw College, who distributed festive New Year gifts to students and faculty, setting a joyful tone for the evening.
